ADULT WOMEN’S RECOVERY PROGRAM CELEBRATES 5TH YEAR

ATCWW-5-years-2024

Successful fundraising event raises over $175,000

La Crosse, WI, October 2024 – Adult & Teen Challenge of Western Wisconsin (ATCWW) raised an impressive $175,000 at its 5th annual Drive the Road to Recovery event. Held at the Dahl Auto Museum, the event brought together community members, supporters, as well as current and past clients for an evening of testimonies, hope, and heartfelt inspiration. Since opening their doors in November of 2019, they have served over 125 women and provided nearly 17,000 nights of shelter and care.

ATCWW is a low-to-no cost residential treatment program located in La Crosse. Funds raised at this event are used to support the organization and the programs it offers, going directly to the care of the clients and their search for freedom from addiction.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our supporters,” said Kevin Schaler, Executive Director of ATCWW. “These funds will directly impact our ability to provide life-changing support to women searching for freedom from addiction. Together we are saving lives and making a difference in our communities.”

ATCWW is proud of the fact that in five years they have never had to turn one woman away for inability to pay. This is a testament to the strength of our communities and their understanding of the dire need to help those who are seeking treatment. This event and the ongoing support of so many allows ATCWW to continue its mission of helping every woman struggling with addiction.

Julie, who will be graduating the program in January, says “For the last five years I have been in and out of either a treatment facility or the hospital.  I have tried EVERYTHING except for a faith-based approach to recovery.  Before coming to ATCWW I was completely hopeless and defeated not knowing where to turn.  At ATCWW I discovered what I finally have been missing.  I have been able to get to the root issues of my addiction and receive the love, grace, and forgiveness that only God can offer.  I am 53 years old, but the way I see it, my life is just starting.”

ATCWW expresses heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, donors, and staff who made this event and our mission possible. If you missed their event and would like to donate, visit their website.
